What is Botox?

Botox, also known as botulinum toxin type A, is a substance used in aesthetic medicine for the temporary smoothing of expression lines. It works by blocking nerve impulses that cause muscle contractions in facial expressions. This leads to muscle relaxation and the smoothing of wrinkles in the treated area. Wrinkles Between the Eyebrows (Glabella)

Botox Application

Botulinum toxin is injected into selected muscles using a very fine needle in small doses. The entire process takes approximately 10–20 minutes.

After treatment

After the injection, a few minutes of rest is recommended. The client will receive instructions on post-treatment care—for example, avoiding lying down, facial massages, or exercise for several hours after the procedure.

Initial results typically appear within 3 to 5 days, with full effect developing within 7 to 14 days after the application.

The result lasts on average 3 to 6 months. After that, the botulinum toxin naturally breaks down, and the treatment can be safely repeated.

Aftercare

  • Do not lie down or bend forward for 4 hours after the injection
  • Avoid exercise, sauna, tanning beds, and alcohol for 24 hours
  • Do not massage the treated areas

  • Pregnancy and breastfeeding
  • Inflammation or infection in the treatment area
  • Blood clotting disorders or use of anticoagulants
  • Neuromuscular diseases
  • Allergy to any component of botulinum toxin
